online privacy lock

Last month, Instagram (owned by Facebook) rolled out a feature that enables anyone to embed any Instagram post into their websites or blogs. Now, Facebook has launched a tool that enables online publishers to embed anyone's Facebook posts into websites and blogs. In order to be embedded, the content must have been published on a Facebook Page or Facebook Profile as a public post.Embedded posts was launched by Facebook with a few large publishers in beta in July, and today, Facebook embedded posts has been opened up to the world. To embed a Facebook post into your website or blog content, just copy the embed code provided with the Facebook post and paste it where you want it to appear within your own content. Your website or blog audience can like and share the Facebook post from your website or blog, and they can follow the link within the embedded post in order to comment on the original post on Facebook. If you find an embedded Facebook post on another website or blog that you'd like to include on your own website or blog, you can copy the embed code directly from that blog or website without having to visit Facebook at all. Your visitors can do the same with any embedded posts published within your website or blog content, too.

Warning

It's important to point out that some Facebook members might have their privacy settings configured to make their content public without realizing that means anyone can publish their Facebook content to any blog or website. Proceed with caution!Furthermore, just because someone posts content in a Facebook post (such as an image or video), that doesn't mean they own the copyright to it. Again, use caution when you included embedded Facebook posts in your website or blog content. Also, if someone deletes a Facebook post that you embedded within your content, your content will display a message saying that the content is no longer available on Facebook. This could have a negative effect on the user experience on your website or blog. Finally, be sure to check your own Facebook Profile and Page privacy settings to make sure content that you don't want others to embed on their websites and blogs is not public. Of course, setting your Facebook content to private won't stop all access to it, but it's a step in the right direction. What do you think about Facebook Embedded Posts?
