ACI Information Group will be attending the 2015 Charleston Conference to showcase the ACI Scholarly Blog Index to more than 1,500 librarians, publishers, and other professionals interested in library resources, acquisitions, and collection development. With ACI’s comprehensive collection of editorially selected and curated blogs by credentialed scholars and thought leaders in all disciplines, conference attendees will be able to explore first-hand a collection of scholarly blogs and workflow tools specifically curated for the academic research community.
The Charleston Conference will be held from November 4-7, 2015 in Charleston, South Carolina. While the conference sessions will take place in 4 locations – Francis Marion Hotel, Gaillard Center Charleston, Courtyard by Marriott, and Embassy Suites – the vendor showcase will take place on the mezzanine (first) and second levels of the Francis Marion Hotel.
ACI Information Group will be at Vendor Table 44 in the Carolina Ballroom Conference Room A on Francis Marion’s mezzanine level, where ACI Scholarly Blog Index Manager Pat Sabosik, ACI Vice President of Content Administration Aura Novembre, and ACI President Larry Schwartz will demonstrate ACI’s valuable collection of scholarly blogs and research workflow tools to conference attendees.
In addition to entertaining conference-goers at the vendor table, Larry will also take part in a panel discussion of Librarians, Publishers, Aggregators: Are You Missing the Boat on the Perfect Partnership? from 2:25-3:10 pm on Thursday, November 5 to discuss how libraries, publishers, and content aggregators can work together to serve the academic community. The ACI team will also showcase the ACI Scholarly Blog Index in a lightning-talk session entitled Five Minute Previews of the New and Noteworthy, which takes place from 8:00-9:30 AM in the Gaillard Center on Saturday, November 7 and highlights innovative content, products and platforms in the electronic resource and library communities.
If you’re attending the Charleston Conference, be sure to stop by Vendor Table 44 so we can show you just how valuable ACI’s collection of scholarly blogs can be to faculty, students, and other scholarly researchers. Aura, Pat, and Larry will be on hand to demonstrate ACI’s innovative workflow tools, academic use cases, and unique customization options for university ACI portals. Tweet us at @aciblogindex, or just stop by to say hello and discuss what’s good in that Buffet/Break Station that’s just around the corner. (And if you haven’t registered, there’s still time – just visit the Charleston Conference website, or register on-site at the Francis Marion registration desk from November 4-6.)
We look forward to seeing you at the conference!
