The ACI Information Group will be exhibiting the ACI Scholarly Blog Index in Booth 316 at the 2016 SLA Annual Conference & INFO-EXPO from June 12-14 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. ACI Scholarly Blog Index Manager Pat Sabosik, Vice President of Content Licensing Aura Novembre, and President Larry Schwartz are looking forward to showcasing ACI‘s scholarly blog collection and comprehensive workflow tools to library and information science professionals in INFO-EXPO, SLA’s conference exhibit hall.
The Special Libraries Association provides resource support and information, leadership, advocacy efforts, and professional development support to government, business, research, and other specialized libraries and library departments. There are numerous sessions and events at this year’s SLA that cover a variety of topics, from ethnography and digital archives to copyright compliance and taxonomy. Several sessions cover a range of topics and issues in academic librarianship and the resources available to students, faculty, and librarians in higher education. Because ACI was designed for the academic researcher, the 2016 SLA Annual Conference will be an excellent venue to showcase ACI’s unique database to library and information professionals seeking innovative research tools for their libraries’ users.
With select posts featured in ALA’s new Choice tablet edition and with content available in common discovery services like ProQuest Summon, EBSCO Discovery Service, and OCLC WorldCat, the ACI Scholarly Blog Index is the only repository of published scholarly blog content. All blogs indexed in ACI are individually curated by researchers with expertise in that blog’s topic or field of study, giving students, faculty, and librarians access to the highest-quality content available in today’s scholarly blogs – with enhanced tools and integrations (like support for Mendeley, Evernote, Zotero, and other platforms you already use) to seriously empower online research in colleges, universities, and other research institutions. From citation and export options to tools for bookmarks, lists, and features for sharing & collaborations, librarians are using ACI to help their online researchers find quality academic and research blogs. ACI subscribers can access the full range of premium metadata and workflow tools available within ACI:
- Search the entire collection of scholarly blogs
- Full-text access to every scholarly blog article
- Advanced search, navigation, and filtering options to ensure highly-relevant results
