Newstex President Larry Schwartz will join a group of panelists discussing Mobile Technology in the STM Industry during the February 23, 2011 SIIA Brown Bag Lunch session.  The event will be held from 11:30-1:30 at the McGraw-Hill building in New York City (1221 Avenue of the Americas).

The Mobile Technology in the STM Industry session is described by SIIA as follows:

STM publishers are moving fast to get their content up on the mobile devices to keep pace with the increasingly mobile STM workforce. In labs, hospitals and in research facilities, the market is demanding solutions that allow professionals to do access information quickly on a variety of mobile devices and platforms, and STM publishers are reacting quickly to meet their client's needs. Not surprisingly this is raising technical, business model and content management issues.Come join our panel of experts as they share their best practices and discuss the technical, business and content hurdles. Topics to be discussed include:
  1. What are the best practices in developing mobile strategy to serve these markets?
  2. What does the user community expect from an STM mobile app?
  3. Can you build your mobile app in a cost effective manner?
